Pathway 01
Individual registration
This is the pathway for the person whose work is the record — students, researchers, founders, professionals and makers. You open an account, then you decide what evidence to put behind it.
The form below is the real first step, exactly as it will be asked. In this preview it is checked in your own browser and goes no further — no account is created, nothing is transmitted, and nothing is kept once you close the tab.
Create your account
Eight questions, and only six of them are required. Everything that makes a record worth reading — your institution, your field, your work, your evidence — comes after this, once there is an account to attach it to.
What happens after this form
Registration is the shortest part. What follows is the part that makes a record mean something, and each step is yours to take at your own pace — an account with nothing behind it stays private and unranked.
-
Confirm you are reachable
A code goes to your email, and to your phone if you gave one. Until an address is confirmed, nothing about you can be published and no institution can see you — which also means a mistyped address costs you nothing but a second attempt.
-
Say where you study or work
Your institution, faculty, department, programme and level, or your organisation, role and years of practice. Naming an institution does not give it control of your record; it lets that institution corroborate the parts it can actually vouch for.
-
Declare what you are working towards
Up to five domains, then three questions in your own words: the problem you are trying to solve, what you are building now, and what makes your approach different. Together these become your horizon statement, and it is the part of a record people read first.
-
Put evidence behind it
Papers, repositories, filings, prototypes, results, awards, transcripts, testimonials — whatever exists. Every item is examined individually and can be corroborated, questioned or withdrawn. Nothing is required, and unverified evidence is labelled as such rather than quietly counted.
How far registration takes you
Standing on YoureNX is a ladder, not a badge, and this form puts you on the bottom rung. Every rung above it is earned by evidence somebody else was willing to confirm.
- Registered
- An account exists. Nothing is visible to anyone else, and nothing is claimed on your behalf. This is where the form above leaves you.
- Confirmed
- Your email, and your phone if you added one, have been verified as reachable.
- Affiliated
- An institution or organisation you named has been matched, so your context is established.
- Evidence submitted
- You have put material behind your claims. It is on the record as submitted, and openly labelled as not yet examined.
- Evidence verified
- Someone competent to judge it has examined the material and said so, in their own name and on a date.
- Horizon candidate
- Enough verified evidence to be considered in discovery, where institutions and partners can find you.
- Trailblazer
- A record examined and corroborated to the standard YoureNX exists to defend.
- Horizon alumni
- Trailblazers whose trajectory is now a matter of record, and whose earlier evidence stays readable.
Registering for an organisation instead?
This pathway is for a person. If you are opening an account for a university, polytechnic, research institute, agency or foundation, use the institutional pathway. If you are a company, hub or investor with roles, funding or facilities to place, use the industry partner pathway. An organisational account can read and corroborate the record; it can never add a person to it.
